Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Reading about an operation on your eyes is a private matter, and this site is built to keep it that way. Be Healthy (“we”, “us”) gathers as little as it can and uses it only for the narrow reasons set out below. This policy covers behealthybrazosvalley.org alone, not the outside sites we link to, each of which keeps its own.
The scope of what we hold
In practice our records run to three things, and no more:
- What you choose to send. A message through the Contact page or by email reaches us with whatever you put in it, such as your name and email address.
- Ordinary technical data. To deliver pages safely, our hosting and content delivery network handle routine details like your IP address and browser type.
- Grouped, anonymous statistics. We may keep aggregated counts, for example which articles are read most, so we can tell what is actually useful.
The clinical details we never want
Please do not send us your eye scans, biometry or lens-power measurements, your prescription, photographs of your eyes, or any account of your eye health or planned operation. We cannot interpret them, we are not your clinician, and email is not a secure channel for information that sensitive. Anything clinical belongs with the surgeon assessing your eyes, not in our inbox. If you do send such details, we will not act on them and will delete them once we have replied.
Why we hold anything at all
Three reasons, and only three: to keep the site running and secure, to see which content helps people so we can improve it, and to answer you when you write in. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not track you around the web.
Cookies and measurement
Where we measure traffic we use a privacy-minded analytics setup configured to see as little as possible, with anonymised IP addresses and no cross-site tracking. You can block or clear cookies in your browser whenever you like without losing access to anything here.
Who else touches your data
Only the providers that make the site work: a content delivery network and a privacy-minded analytics provider, both acting on our behalf. We do not sell your information, we do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we share it more widely only where the law requires.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept only as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and any sensible follow-up, then removed. Aggregated statistics are kept no longer than we need to read general trends.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to see, correct, delete, or restrict the limited information we hold, or to object to certain uses of it. To do any of these, write to us through the Contact page and we will respond as the law requires.
Children
This is a resource for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below the age at which they can consent to such processing where they live.
Security and changes
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to the little data we hold, though no transmission over the internet is ever wholly secure. We may revise this policy as the site develops; the “Last updated” date above marks the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. If anything here is unclear, please ask through the Contact page.
